53 years ago little Johnnie Patrick Dwyer entered this world, clutching his wee spanner – he hasn’t let go of it yet . He was delivered by his Auntie Eileen , on the kitchen table ( well thats what he says – it was prob a private suite at Selly Oak hosp ) in His family home in Pershore Road , Birmingham. So although we are celebrating his wonderful , action-packed life ( get him to tell you about his exploits at The Reading festival ), it is another sad sad day without Rosie , she should be here….or at Reading or Brick lane or sleeping it off at Helens or toddling off to Waitrose or at a car boot fair or playing rounders at Hurley or ………………….

We couldn’t find a better friend and John is a special Dad too and we’ll raise a glass to him on this day and think of Rosie and the really wondeful memories we have of her and those happy sun filled picnicking days we all shared at Hurley.
We echo everything that Bob and Claire have said. John is a very special man and the sight of him strapping on his metal knee pad at Hurley and picking up his rugby ball waiting for 15 odd kids to tackle him is an image that we will never forget….All our thoughts are with you today and Rosie is in our hearts for ever x
Belated happy birthday to John (i can be forgiven, i have just come down from the mountains) I hope you coped ok on what can only have been another seriously difficult day.
The inca trail was incredibly hard but so worth it-6 hours straight uphill on such a steep path to reach the hightest point was a real sense of achiecement. while rosie probably wouldnt have been mega keen on the walking (remember our protest in yorkshire? “down with mud, up with yorkshire dungeons”, posters and everything) i know she would have been as amazed as me and helenka at the views. we felt on top of the world and she was with us every step of the way.
Into bolvia tomorrow!
Now i have to ask-what was Joan at the hospital for??
